A few things worth knowing

This is a working notebook more than a portfolio. Most of what ends up here starts as a problem I was actually stuck on: a system that needed to ship, an alignment algorithm that stopped making sense once the toy example got left behind, a line that wouldn’t leave me alone until it was written down properly.

Three things tend to show up: engineering (systems, code, the decisions that compound), bioinformatics (sequences, pipelines, biological data), and writingthat isn’t code at all. They don’t always mix, and that’s fine — this isn’t a themed blog, it’s just what I’m thinking about.

If something here is wrong, incomplete, or worth arguing with, that’s the point of publishing it instead of leaving it in a notes app.
